Retail Center Development

The following Retail Centers are developments by Philip G. Neari:

  • New Market Square, Burlington, North Carolina. A 120,000 square foot neighborhood center, built in 1986 originally anchored by Roses Department Store and Winn Dixie.

  • New Market Plaza, Kernersville, North Carolina. This neighborhood center was built in 1987 and originally anchored by Roses Department Store, Food Fair and Crown Drug Store.

  • New Market Centre, Boone, North Carolina. A 138,000 square foot neighborhood center built in 1988, anchored by Roses Department Store, Lowes Food and Boone Drug Store.

  • New Market Crossing, Mt. Airy, North Carolina. A 112,000 square foot neighborhood shopping center built in 1990. Anchored by Roses Department Store, Ingles Grocery Store and Blockbuster Video.

  • New Market, Eden, North Carolina. A 6,000 square foot specialty center built in 1991.

  • Staples Plaza, Boone, North Carolina. A 25,000 square foot free standing Staples Office Superstore built in 1995.

  • Staples Plaza, Mooresville, North Carolina. A 25,000 square foot free standing Staples Office Superstore built in 1996.

  • Hermitage Plaza, Nashville, Tennessee. A 35,000 square foot specialty center anchored by Staples Office Superstore, Verizon and Pizza Hut, built in 1997.

  • Staples Plaza, North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. A 25,000 square foot Staples Office Superstore built in 1999.

Acquisitions

  • Gray Court Apartments located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A 53 unit historic apartment property purchased in 2001.

  • Lowes located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A 5.5 acre property purchased in 2005 and leased to Coastal Federal Bank for a bank branch and training facility.
